Tax Assessor Offices (TAO) won’t teach this to you. Lawyers won’t teach this to you. The steps and what happens within Appeal to Superior Court is intentionally opaque and hidden from the public. It is frequently used as an intimidation tool in which only the best represented, and most experienced property owners and taxpayers can access through hired professionals and lawyers.
However, average property owners taxpayers have the right to this hidden information. The public deserves to know what happens in this little known process called Appeal to Superior Court. It should not be hidden within the walls of TAO, lawyer offices, and hired professionals.
